According to police, there will be no parking in the area around Juhu for the regulation and control of vehicular traffic during Chhath Puja. This order will be in effect from October 30th at 10:00 AM to October 31st at 11:00 AM
On Saturday, the Mumbai Police issued a “no parking” order in Juhu area of Mumbai ahead Chhath Puja Sunday. According to police, lakhs of people will be visiting Juhu for Chhath Puja which is scheduled for October 30.
Nitin Pawar (deputy commissioner of traffic police), Mumbai, issued an order stating that there would be no parking around Juhu in order to regulate vehicular traffic during Chhath Puja. This order will be in effect from October 30, 10:00 AM to October 31, 11:00 AM.
It was stated in the order that parking would not be allowed on either side of Juhu Road, Juhu Tara Road or Birla Lane.
It was stated that the Chhath Puja Mahotsav 2022 celebrations will take place from 10:00 AM on October 30 through 11:00 AM on October 31, and approximately 4 to 5 million devotees will congregate at Juhu Chowpaty to perform Chhath Puja.
Further, it stated that there would be heavy pedestrian crossings as well as the movement of auto-rickshaws and other vehicles on large numbers along Juhu Tara road and Juhu road, V.M Road, and Birla Lane. Traffic will therefore be slower on the roads mentioned above during these hours. People are asked to use S.V. Alternative routes include the western express highway and road.
