In key roles, Michael Beach (Dahmer, Monster), Joshua Colley, (Senior year) and Lindsey Gort, (All Rise), have joined Dead Boy Detectives, HBO Max’s new drama series. The series is produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Colley, Beach and Gort are joined by Jayden Revri, Kassius Nelson, and George Rexstrew.

This ghost story, which consists of eight parts, explores grief, loss, and death through the eyes of Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland (Revri), who are two deceased teenagers from Britain and their very real friend, Crystal Palace (Nelson). It’s very much like a classic detective series, but darker and more acidic.
Beach portrays Tragic Mick, a melancholy wadrius trapped in a human body that sometimes helps the Dead Boys.
Colley portrays Monty, an affable, astrology loving teen who can see ghosts…and falls hard for Edwin Payne.
Gort is Maxine. She’s a quirky librarian from Port Townsend who has a huge, secretive past.
Other series stars include BrianaCuoco as Jenny, the Butcher, Ruth Connell and Yuyu Kitamura playing Niko, Jenn Lyon as Esther, and Ruth Connell, Night Nurse.
Yockey was the showrunner and wrote the pilot episode. Along with Carver, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter, he exec produces. The pilot was directed by Lee Toland Krieger.
Recently, Beach appeared on season 2 of Taylor Sheridan’s Mayor of Kingstown. He is also a regular on Kingdom Business and has a major recurring part on Dahmer: Monster, which can be viewed on Netflix. He was also a regular series regular on Apple TV’s Truth Be Told. Colley can be seen as Yaz in Netflix’s comedy Senior Year and in a supporting role on Hulu’s comedy Sex Appeal. Colley is most well-known for his role as Les in the Broadway musical Newsies. Brave Artists Management represents Colley and CESD Talent Agency represents Colley.
