Stung by a string of poor performances, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be hoping for a better show from the bowlers in Monday’s IPL clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have not been at their best in the tournament so far. RCB have great players and renowned coaches but none of their strategies have worked so far. The team is at the 10th position with only one win in six matches. The reason for this is that his bowlers have not been effective. They have failed to perform according to the situation. The bowlers of the other teams have worked on variations to restrict the ultra-aggressive batsmen but the RCB bowlers have not been able to do so. They have been thinking in the same direction so that the batsmen are not finding it difficult to play them.
RCB’s batsmen scored 196 runs against Mumbai Indians, but Mumbai achieved the target for only 93 runs. Dew or short boundaries cannot be an excuse when the bowlers are leaking more than 13 runs per over. The lack of will to win or fighting spirit is clearly visible in the RCB bowlers.
On the other hand, Hyderabad have the likes of Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma, while Travis Head has also been consistent. As a unit, they can take on any bowling attack. Sunrisers are currently placed at the fifth spot in the points table with six points from five games. The bowlers have not performed up to the expectations so far. Shahbaz Ahmed and Mayank Markande have conceded runs at an average of over 11.
