In a shocking incident, Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai suddenly came under a gunfire attack around 10 pm of Sunday night, April 14, 2024. Although The actor and his family came out of the attack safe and sound, the occurrence has created rippling effects not only in the Bollywood industry but also others.
According to reports, the attack took place around 10:10 PM that saw four unidentified persons on two bikes fire shots at the gates of Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The security video footage showed the men shooting at least seven bullets and after that leaving the scene.
A large search exercise by Mumbai Police is underway and Bishnoi gang has appeared as the main accused for the attack. The Bishnoi clan is a criminally active family that is suspected of being involved in a number of offenses, such as extortion, murder and poaching.
The gang has an age-old rivalry with Salman khan, which dates back to 1998 when the actor was accused of killing an antelope – a protected wild animal under the Indian Wildlife Protection Act. Blackbuck which is a member of Bishnoi community has been demanding for justice for this animal’s death for more than twenty years.
