Biden will visit with the president in Florida as he looks over the hurricane Ian the damage.

The President Joe Biden will meet with Florida Governor. Ron DeSantis as he visits Florida in the wake from Hurricane Ian.

Biden along with First Lady Jill Biden boarded Air Force One early Wednesday morning heading for Fort Myers,

one of the areas that has suffered the most damage in the entire state.

 Fort Myers, Biden will meet with the Republican governor, who is often the political rival,

 Biden as well as the first lady Jill Biden assess Ian's storm's damages.

Biden can also visit with small-business owners as well as local residents affected by the historic storm According to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

They will also thank officials who have provided life-saving aid, helping to restore power, and clearing debris.

Gov. DeSantis FEMA Director Deanne Criswell as well as other local and state officials will also give the president an operational overview of the latest responses and recovery efforts.

In advance of the visit Biden's White House said Biden will announce that he will increase the time during which Federal government

officials will take care of all costs related to search and rescue sheltering, debris removal and other measures for emergencies from 30 up to sixty days.
