MIAMI Dolphins Coach Mike McDaniel has combed through the events leading to Tua Tagovailoa's injury on Thursday night

He's not judging the way his team dealt with Tagovailoa during the course of the week.

Tagovailoa was transported to the hospital on Thursday following being hit on the head with the turf after being hit at by Cincinnati Bengals nose tackle Josh Tupou during the second quarter.

He was on the field for about 12 minutes until being removed from the field by a stretcher,

And then taken into the University of Cincinnati Medical Center suffering from a concussion as well as a neck injury.

The player was tested for a concussion. He is currently in the protocol, without a timeline for a return, as per the Dolphins.

The injury happened just four days after an incident that occurred during Miami's game on Sunday against Buffalo Bills,

Tagovailoa slammed the top of his head while lying on the ground and was subsequently evaluated for concussion.
