Texas authorities are warning about an increased number of human trafficking operations along the border using planes.

They have permitted this group to grow into a criminal organization. It's now an increasingly common practice to make use of planes to smuggle methods.

We were able to stop and disrupt three smuggling efforts through planes within 30 days of three airports within the Rio Grande Valley,

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) claims that the attempts to smuggle people using aircrafts are becoming more frequent in the state border.

These are private, small airports. They're not the bigger airports with TSA. These are smaller airports which do not have security measures put in place for private planes.

Olivarez claimed that Houston has evolved into the "main center" for human trafficking and drug trafficking.

Olivarez explained that DPS recently stopped the smuggling of immigrants coming from to the Dominican Republic.
