When attacking, make sure that you have the right amount of energy cards to walk. Tell the player in front of you which attack you are making.

Then match the damages and effects. The amount of damage a move does is listed to the right of the attack name.

Your opponent must add a damage counter to his card for the specified amount of damage. The damage counter is not removed from the card even when the Pokémon is evolved or moved to the bench.

Counters can only be removed when the Pokémon is healed, knocked out, or removed from the game entirely.

If a Pokémon takes total damage that is greater than or equal to its HP, it is knocked out. Remove the card and its attached cards to the discard pile.
