Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on the Ram temple consecration ceremony, calling him ‘anti-Hindu’. Sarma’s comments came after Rahul Gandhi dubbed the ceremony a ‘political Narendra Modi function’ and boycotted it.
Sarma accused Rahul Gandhi and his family of having an ‘anti-Hindu notion’ and politicizing an event that is being viewed as a triumph of Indian civilization. He further stated that the Congress party is the only one politicizing the event, which is otherwise apolitical.
The Assam Chief Minister also criticized Rahul Gandhi for boycotting the event, stating that if he had attended, it would have remained an apolitical function. Sarma added that everyone attending the event would have darshan of Ram Lalla and return, without giving any political or anti-Congress speech.
Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar also criticized Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, stating that the Congress MP is in a ‘La La world’ and that the people of India are wise enough to understand his politics.
The Congress party’s top leadership, including Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, will not be attending the Ram temple’s consecration ceremony, which will be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22. The decision has drawn criticism from various quarters, with some accusing the Congress of playing divisive politics and ignoring the sentiments of the majority community.
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
