Apple has released the latest update for its iPhone operating system, iOS 17.3, which brings new features and improvements to the device. The update is available for all iPhones and can be downloaded through the Settings app. Here’s a rundown of what’s new in iOS 17.3:
Stolen Device Protection
One of the most notable new features in iOS 17.3 is Stolen Device Protection, which limits access to private information in case someone gets ahold of your iPhone. This feature requires biometric authentication to access passwords, turn off Lost Mode, make purchases in Safari, and more.

Collaborative Apple Music Playlists
iOS 17.3 also introduces collaborative Apple Music playlists, allowing users to create and share playlists with friends and family. This feature allows multiple users to add songs, remove songs, and add emoji reactions to any track in a collaborative playlist.
AirPlay Hotel Support
The update also includes AirPlay hotel support, which lets users stream content directly to the TV in their hotel room in select hotels.
AppleCare & Warranty in Settings
iOS 17.3 adds a new section in Settings called AppleCare & Warranty, which shows your coverage for all devices signed in with your Apple ID.
Crash Detection Optimizations
The update also includes crash detection optimizations for all iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models.
In addition to these new features, iOS 17.3 also includes bug fixes and security patches, including one that Apple said might be actively exploited. To download the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update, tap Install Now and follow the onscreen prompts.
